F1RS2 aka MGP demo errors

I downloaded the demo from here:

http://www.racesimcentral.net/

When I try to run the directx6 version, I first get a black screen, then
get the Ubisoft splash screen, then back to black screen for a few more
seconds, then dumped back into Windows 95. I am running directx6 with a
Viper 330 4MB PCI, any idea what the minimum system requirements are for
MGP? Maybe I need to rush out and get a TNT card.
