I found a mail order place to get it called InterAct CD-ROM
(www.interactcd.com).  It says it's an import copy, priced for $39.99.
I think only way we're going to get this game in the US for a while will
be as an import.  Was that way with F1RS.

I refuse to pay $40 for the next f1rs patch. If you don't already own f1rs
then mgp makes a lot of sense, otherwise my wallet stays shut.

Are we going to start THAT arguement again???  I dont see how the improvements
in both gameplay and features (eg: better telemetry, real time ARB and brake
balance adjustments, track editor, driver editor, car and team editor, and
upcoming internet play service, etc) all constitute a 'patch'.

Granted that some of the improvements are minor.  But the last time I checked,
a 'patch' was usually considered a bug-fix or an addition of a feature that was
supposed to be there in the 1st place.

Based on what features are printed on both the box and manual of F1RS, I dont
see how the newest additions to MGPRS2 were supposed to be in the F1RS release
(minus the multiplayer issue and injuries option of course).

Funny how everyone never complains about EA Sports doing incremental upgrades
or fine-tuning of their sports games.  But yet people on this board scream
***y *** because UBI releases a better version of their sim one year after
the fact.

PS UBI is rumored to already be releasing a patch for MGPRS2.  I guess some
people are going to consider that F1RS 1.11   :-P

Where? It was bang on the money as far as I could see - loaded it up,
hmmm, this is exactly the same as the first one but without the
license...

35 for a retro mode and the requirement to paint my own cars? No
thanks. They never even put Suzuka's hills in :-)  (One for the
regulars!)

Cheers!

I have both on my HD,so I can compare them easily.MGP is much more than a
patch, the car physics are way more advanced, the AI are faster, the tracks are
closer to reality.Once again the demo really doesn't do the sim justice.

Hmm, did you just sit in the pits or did you take the car to the track?
If it's the latter you MUST have noticed the improvements, they are much
bigger than the improvements between N1/N2 or ICR1/2. Nobody complained
about those "upgrades".
