MGPRS aka F1RS2 question

by CART » Mon, 30 Nov 1998 04:00:00

I purchased F1RS and was terribly disappointed with it due to the permanent
push condition, or with a odd setup the way the direction of the front
wheels would "disconnect" from the rest of the car. Also, b/c the movement
of the***pit was not shown there was no sense of speed what so ever.

On to the RS2 demo . . .

I liked the way the car could get somewhat loose but there was one thing
that struck me as very wrong. When the car would get loose going into a turn
instead of the end coming around and the car going off backwards, as it
should do, the car would take on an excessive yaw angle but it would not
come around, then it would skid and slow at the same time, leaving big black
marks on the road. I don't know if this is a setup problem or a physics
problem. Could someone who owns the full version please post their thoughts
on this? Is this problem still in the final? If so, can it be eliminated
through a better setup? If the answer is yes I will order it, otherwise not.
Any comments on how RS2 handles the car going out of control on the loose
side of things are welcome . . .
