N2002 Driver Ratings

by Tim Ferrel » Tue, 01 Oct 2002 09:04:19

After Several futile attempts at a full championship series and pulling my
hair out over the AI, I've finally decided to start tweeking the driver
ratings on my own. My goal is to get the settings as acurate as possible (I
should preface this by saying that I've put together carsets from several
different sites so someof the ratings aren't perfectly consistant.) Does
anyone have any expereince with this? I'm leaning toward lowering the
aggression and hopefully find a happy medium between crash-happy Geoff
Bodine types and brain dead moving obstacles. I currently run at 96% but my
goal is to be challenged- I don;t want to win every race but rather to make
it as realistic as possible. I usually can stay out of trouble but I'm tired
of running only about 10 green flag laps on 1 mile or shorter tracks.
Any input would be apprecicated.
Thanks,
Tim

Go to the official NR2002 forum and ask over there. There was a guy that
came out with a huge spreadsheet to come up with driver settings based on
IIRC the last five years or so. Also the Pitwagon has a car set with all the
values set.

Nope...Not me...I just asked what I thought was a legitimate question to
this NG.
If you are thinking of another person maybe it was an honest mistake and
maybe it wasn't. I have never posted to a Sierra board.
Thank you for putting me in the unwinnable position of having to prove a
negative.
Here is my email if you wish to discuss this further in private.

WTF are you talking about?  You asked about driver ratings, I couldn't
remeber Jeff's name, but I knew he hangs out at the Sierra board. So I told
you to go ask over there because I knew they would get you were you wanted
to go.

Sorry for trying to help
