GP3 & MSFF, let's all complain

This is concerning the pull to the left, isn't it? I don't understand - I
have MSFF, used the wheel setup from BHMS and it steers straight as a die
(or as straight as I can keep it, of course!). Could it be something more
specific?

Guys,

I think everyone with a MSFF wheel should call the GP3 technical support
guys and ask for help and/or a patch. The more of us who complain, and
threaten to return the game unless they sort it, the better.

Would someone post the phone number, my stuff's at home.

The issue is 3 axis support, something which seems to have been DROPPED
since GP2...I take offense to it. CHRONIC PITY - because I love the damn
game

Hi, Richard,
Mine plugs into the back of my SBLive 1024 card, but the wheel setup is at
www.bhmotorsports.com and look in their GP3 utilities section. There you'll
find a specific setup for our wheel, with both the profile and .con file. As
I say, mine works wonders.
 Hope I helped a little,

Colin,

Yes, it's the pull that's the main concern.

Is your wheel usb, or joystick port?
What's the "wheel setup from BHMS" that you refer to?

Thanks.

On the forum at
http://forums.simracingnews.com/ubb/Forum5/HTML/001140.html
a guy called Gingercat (thank you very much!) posted THE fix for the
pull
to the left with enabled FF!!!

He has the Saitek R4:

<quote>
Well, removing the key
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\control\MediaProperties\PrivateProperties\Joystick\OEM\Saitek
R4 Force
Wheel\OEMForceFeedback\Effects\{e84cd1c6-81fa-11d0-94ab-0080c74c7e95}]
from the registry works - this is the "Raw Force" effect for the wheel.
<quote>

Here's the key for the MSFF:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\MediaProperties\PrivateProperties\
Joystick\OEM\Microsoft SideWinder Force Feedback
Wheel\OEMForceFeedback\Effects\
{e84cd1c6-81fa-11d0-94ab-0080c74c7e95}]

It works, and finally I can enjoy this gem of a sim as it is supposed to
be.

Damn, I'm thinking of deinstalling GPL...naah, I'll find time for it
again, I'm sure! ;)

Did you try how this affects other games? Maybe you could report something
about that.
I wouldn't enjoy too much editing my registry whenever I change to another
game...

Works for me too!

For savety and easy restoring, instead of deleting the key I rename it by
putting "Not " in front of the name. Also you may want to export the key
before you  change or delete it ...

It does not cure the problem of the lacking center force when force feedback
is disabled.

Currently there is NO other racing sim that could suffer... ;)

Of course, I'll check if I notice any diff in ViperRacing, GPL, N3, etc.
Sorry, I deleted F12k, just couldn't drive the bobby car on fantasy
tracks
anymore. SCNR

I did just that. Now I can easily import the key again by installing
this
reg-file. But, how can I easily get rid of that key, I mean, can I use
this file to search for the key and delete it?

I'd never turn it off, after GPL & VR it's now the third sim with
usefull
FF effects.

Thanks that's cured it.
What a star that guy is!
I can now start to enjoy the sim.
