GP3 - can I use all 8 buttons on my MSFF wheel?

The GP3 setup appears only to let me use buttons 1-4 on my MSFF, which
means I can't use the paddles. OK, I could set up a profile, but I
still don't seem to be able to use more than 4 buttons in total. Is
there any way I can get around this?

Set your right paddle-shifter as SPACEBAR and you left paddle-shifter as
SHIFT in the Profile Editor, and then in the ADVANCED controls setup in
GP3 set Shift as change-down gear and Spacebar as change-up gear. You will
now be able to Pause the game using 'P'.

Thanks. As it happens, I use a slightly odd setup - right paddle is
change up, right top button is change down - which is what I use for
GPL. This came about through a combination of reasons, but mainly a
temporary failure of the left-hand buttons on the MSFF, and a *** cut
on my left hand... principle's the same, though. Ta.
