Does the retail version of F1 2002 run on a Voodoo5 with Windows 98?

Which version of driver is required?

Thanks!

Does the demo even work with it?

Absolutely.  It runs on my Windows98SE system just fine.  (Athlon
XP1700).  Usual framerates, IIRC, is 30-35.

Stock Voodoo5 drivers.  - Version 4.12.01.0666, dated 11-2-2000

30-35 fps with a 1.7?  Rats, that means I may only get about 20 or so(1.2G).
Probably not usuable.

In the case of sims these days, it's the V5 holding you back Eldred, not
your CPU, so I think you'd see roughly the same FPS as BRH, and there's
always OC'ing, all the V5's I've had my hands on so far has responded
very nicely to a bit of tinkering, you can't expect a massive
improvement, but another 5-10 FPS in your fav sim is not unrealistic,
and if that means the difference between perfectly playable and close to
undriveable....

I also run the F1 2002 demo on my V5 with the 4.12.01.0666 drivers
(last official beta drivers developed for DirectX 8.x compatibility).
These are the best perfoming and most stable drivers IMHO for Windows
9x D3D games. There are some things you must have in place to get the
demo running:

DirectX v.8.1 (No v.8.0a won't do it; you'll receive page faults &
CTDs)
Geometry Assist (T&L) must be disabled.

F12000 CS and looks a helluva lot better :)! I'm going to buy the full
version this weekend.

I've never tried overclocking anything.  Paranoid, I guess.  I tried it with a
CPU once, but it kept locking up.  So I just run everything standard now...
