I used to run GPL with DX5 until recently (now I'm running DX6). I have a
feeling that my framerate used to be a fair bit better with the DX5?! I think
that my fps never dropped bellow 26 with DX5 (with everything on and all cars)
while now with DX6 it drops down to (22fps minimum).

I'm not sure if I'm imagining things but has anyone else noticed something
like this wioth GPL and different versions of DX ? I can't really test this
'cos I don't seem to be able to reinstall DX5 over DX6 ... anyone knows how to
do this?

I have standard SB16 and the latest Video drivers from my Thriller 3D 8Mb so I
don't think that would be it. I'll get the latest SB16 drivers (though I
though DX6 would have them) and see if it makes any difference.

Also, any idea how to install DX5 over DX6.
