Hi John:

Pro:  If you enjoy Indy Car racing, you'll LOVE NASCAR!  The AI (Artificial
Intelligence) of the opposition has been much improved (although still not
perfect!).  The SVGA graphics are spectacular, and overall I much prefer NASCAR
to IndyCar.

Cons:  If you want to run NASCAR in SVGA, your computer better have lots of
horsepower.  While the box says you can run it on a 486-66, realistically you
really should have a Pentium 90.  And even then, you won't be able to run with
all the graphics/digital sound on without drastically affecting your frame
rate.

Driving the NASCAR cars is also quite an adjustment.  These are big, heavy
lumbering beasts and it takes lots of practice to drive smoothly.  However, it
is no impossible;  it just takes lots of work.

The bottom line, if your computer can handle it, GO FOR IT!!!

John,
I don't have Indycar Racing, but, NASCAR is awsome.  I'm using a 486 at
66mhz with 8 meg.  I can run the sim in SVGA, but it gets pretty choppy.
I usually run it in VGA.  Of course the graphics aren't as good, but it
flies on my machine.  I definitely recommend buying.  It's the best auto
simulation I've seen.  Imagine drafting at 200mph down the backstretch at
Talladega.  It's great!  Any more questions, just email me.

John,

Definitely!!  It's a real challenge. If you think IndyCar is challenging, try driving these
3100 lbs. monsters around the track. The competition is tough, the visual damage is
pretty cool, and the paint kit and replay editor utilities come with the game. Cons?
Well, your computer needs more horsepower than a real NASCAR stock car to run
it with full detail (especially if you want to run in SVGA mode). Still, it's well worth it.
Check it out!
