OK, that's what I figured.  For $225 it should include high-quality pots.
Not pots that last ONE MONTH.  That is totally ridiculous.  I'll shop around
for another wheel.  Thanks for the input.

Did the actually wear out or did they just need cleaning? Erratic operation
often means they just need a little shot contact cleaner and you're good for
another month.

Whoa, hold on there.
When the TSW2 was introduced, they did have a pot problem. Mine went bad
pretty quickly, but Trevor Thomas kept sending me new ones till it was made
right. I since discovered the Digikey Pots, and mine has been working
flawlessly ever since.
Try not to judge a wheel by a 5.00 part that will go bad sooner or later,
the TSW2 or TSW with decent pots is an excellent choice.
Btw, I understand Thomas Enterprises is now shipping the TSW2 with the
Digikey pots,

Hmmm, I just checked DigiKey's web page and they sell their pots for $2.24
each or 10 for $18.65!!!
Yet Thomas Enterprises offers them on their web page for TWELVE dollars
apiece or 3 for $35.
Me senses a rip-off goin on over at T.E.

There are several different pots offered by Digikey. The ones I bought from
them were over 5 bucks a piece.

I think that you are comparing the price of a pot with a pot with a
wiring harness and plugs attached, making for easy installation. That is
the way that the extra pots that came with my TSW Formula are. BTW, I
have had mine for about 5 months with no pot problem.

The pots used in the TSW are model #RV4N104C-ND. They're $5.62 a piece or
$50.76 for 10.

Also, Did anybody try to used Conductive Plastic Pots like the SPEC one in
the TSW Formula '99. Digi-Key has a conductive plactic pot that has all the
same specifications has the one above and sells for $8.04. BTW, the part
number is #RV4N104-ND.

Anybody try these pots... My TSW still has those old RS pots and the brake
pedal one is and need of replacement, I would want to go to conductive
plastic has they're the best (according to Thomas Enterprise).
