F1RS pitstop problem

Is anyone else having trouble doing a pitstop in F1RS? I'm part way through
a championship (100% race distance) and I went back to a saved game midway
through a race. I pressed enter to select a pitstop and next time round
called in to the pits only to find my teamate there. 'Bastard!', I shouted
and went round again only to find him still there on the next lap. I chose
to wait behind him but he never budged. The only way I could get past it was
to reload the saved game and drive the wrong way round the track to rush
into the pitlane before my teamate gets there. 25 laps later it's time for
the second stop. I press enter and go into the pits. All the pitcrew are
there waiting but I don't get 'sucked' into the box, and no matter how hard
I try I can't steer into the box. I went through the pits about four times
before running out of petrol and they just won't let me in. It's as if I
must have offended the team manager at some stage. It's never happened with
any of the previous races in the championship. I've got the latest patch
installed by the way, and I haven't installed the patch part way through the
season which might have caused a problem with saved games. Any ideas?

Wow. That sounds awful. I've never seen this one Tim, can anyone else
help out?

LOL, wow, I've never seen anything that bizarre.  At least you have a
sense of humor about it.  I have experienced some minor problems when
loading saved games with older patches. (such as loading a game saved
in the pit lane where the reloaded game had a damaged car.  Another
was when saving the game just before answering a pit call, upon
reloading the game, the car would suddenly go into external view.
However, I haven't noticed these yet with the latest patch).  Perhaps
this problem only occurs when in championship mode.  It seems that
this mode has more problems than the others (as in the black-sky
problem).

If you still have the saved game, and its repeatable, it might be
useful to email the game to ubisoft tech support.

Good luck!  The last time I asked Ubisoft tech support a question they
said they didn't know the answer & directed me to this newsgroup!

Which tech support? Its probably got to do with some luck.  It might
happen to depend on the mood of the support person as well as which
person, but when I've emailed to the UK TS (I've had the UK import for
a few months), they replied that they would forward the saved game to
the development team, so I guess it varies.  Not that I know anything
was done about it.  Probably the best TS to address is the one.in
France.

Doesn't do any harm anyways as long as the requests are reasonable.
No ***ing ever gets any results.
