The game will come in two versions - the full-on boxed game (with printed
manuals, AI riders to race against, and a "career" kind of thing), and the
free downloadable online version which will have everything but the 3 things
I just mentioned. The boxed game is, of course, online-ready. You will also
be able to purchase the entire online version (incl. all tracks, art,
sounds, bikes, etc.) on a CD for the cost of pressing and shipping it - to
save yourself a pile of download time (these track databases are huge).
As to pricing for the online, well, it won't be "free" ... but it will be
very reasonable - and AMA members will get special discounts. With the depth
of different kinds of online events that will be available on our system, I
think folks will see the value of having an account with us. Obviously we
can't divulge everything we're planning yet - I really wish I could spill
the beans on some of the things we're lining up. But folks should be aware
that there will be enough depth to the online community on motorsims.com to
justify charging people anything at all to play there.
