I just purchased an SBLive Value and some of my old GPL sounds which I got
from the net sound really bad, they are full of clicks and static, does any
one know how I can fix this or find some better quality sounds.

I have a PCI64 sound card and had the some prob.  But the latest drivers for
the card fixed it.  Now all my sounds are clear as crystal!  So try the
latest drivers.

I had a problem when reinstalling this card - it turned out that I
hadn't set the default audio playback device to SBLive, so it was
playing back in some kind of emulation mode.

Changing the audio playback device using the control panel fixed it
immediately.
