Eldred EVERY time there is a dx update, folks start screaming. If you
listen to the people with problems, you should still be back at dx3.
NOw...here's my point:
IF your system is stable now, and runs everything you have NOW and isn't
giving you any problem NOW then you don't NEED dx8. There will come a time
when you WILL have to have dx8 but IF your system is stable and compatible
then you have no need to update.
The first sim that I've heard of that will take advantage of dx8 is WSC so
unless something sneaks in ahead of it..perhaps Nascar 2002 by EA then you
will be better off ignoring dx8.
However, if you are INDEED having controller problems or sound or video,
then by all means update to dx8. It can't be any worse than what you have
now and even if you do have problems, you can debug them in time for WSC.
