F1 2002 on a V3

Hi Guys,

Is this possible, i.e., run f1-2002 on a Voodoo 3 (16MB)? The game is asking
for a 8.1 driver (3dsetup refuses to run), but the latest official release
is for 8.0.

Thanks,

Brian

No, will not work at all. I used to be in the same situation. It's something
to do with texture size, rather than DX8 or the actual amount of memory on
the card.

IIRC correctly the V3's memory usage makes it only a 15 meg card for D3D.
Which when you take out frame buffer requirments just dosen't leave enough
rom for textures.

The Last working EA F1 title that was compatible with V3 cards is F1 CS
2000   2001 & 2002 both use large textures that exceed the memory limit of
the V3 cards.  V5 cards still work as far as I know.
