I'm using direct x version 5 with a microsoft sidewinder joystick in
formula 1 but formula 1 does not see the joystick

I am able to calibrate in control panel and use with all other games??

Is this a known bug and is there a patch out yet

Sorry I cannot help, but working fine here. DX5, Sidewinder 3D Pro
in its native mode, connected to a regular SB16 game port.
Didn't have to fiddle anything, SW3DPro worked fine with UBI F1
demo instantly.
