Perhaps one of the Bizarre Creations people will post a better answer
(as they made the game.) But:
Formula 1 PC is a port from the playstation version. Not to say they
didn't add stuff; they added a lot. I'm just not sure how much the
underlying AI, models, and gameplay aspects changed.
1) I've gotten the car to leave the track a bit. Going over the
shoulders at high-speed makes my car jump a bit. No flips or tosses
but
I have not tried.
2) Rear view button is still there.
3) I've noticed bumps in the tracks. Perhaps being at high-res and
fast
frame-rates helps to bring them out. Obviously we're not talking
about
dips and potholes, but I do notice some fluctuation on certain tracks.
There is a camera view right at the front tip of the car which gives a
real sense of speed and track-kissing. I notice it most in this view.
4) Not sure what you mean. The grass is much easier to spin out on
and
slows down my car when I drive through it. There comes a limit in
every
game where you can't program too accurate.
All in all, Formula 1 on Voodoo Graphics is not just a Playstation
port. It's looks (and plays) like a whole new game at high-res. If
you
loved the Playstation version then you've got to have it. And even if
you have not played that version, you gotta see this title for the
graphics quality.
