I dont know what this turbovbf.vxd is for and where it came from,
certainly it isnt a windows native .vxd. Anyway, the reason you get
this message is because a program or other has a call for it either in
the registry or system.ini or both. If our running win98 type msinfo32
at the start, run dialog box. Once inside it, click on tools and you
will see some good utilities to help you check your system out. As far
as this .vxd file goes it is probably being loaded as a service into
your VMM32.vxd file from
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\VxD\NameOFVXDHere]
Then a DWORD like:"StaticVxD"="turbovbf.vxd"
Do a search in your registry for this .vxd, once you find a reference
for it, export that key to a temporary place and delete it from the
registry. Reboot and the problem should be solved, but if the
application that requires this .vxd is still installed you may get
errors from the application itself.
Run MSconfig and go to the start up tab and see what is running at
startup, again from the tools menu in MSINFO32.
Also there is a great utility called System Mechanic which searches
your registry from invalid or unused entries and cleans them up, you
can get it here http://www.iolo.com. There are many others like this
out there too.
Hope this is of some help.
Mauricio.
