-Hi,
I've recently upgraded my system. I previously had an AMD 5x86 -133mhz
with 16 megs of RAM, a Diamond Stealth64 DRam Video Card. All of my games
ran fine with it. All of this was on a VLB board.
But now I've got a new PCI board with and AMD K5 133mhz processor, 16 megs
of Ram, and a Diamond Stealth 2000 Video Card( Bios version 1.04). My
problem is that now I can't run ANY OF MY GAMES.
1. GP2- It'll go through all of the menu screens fine. But when I play the
screen gets a little garbled, or warped, after a few seconds it crashes
telling me DIVIDE BY ZERO error.
2. FIFA97, goes through the menu screens fine. But when it gets to the
game it just locks up and gives me an error message saying: FATAL
EXCEPTION(Divide by zero).
Thsi same thing happens with all of my games whether they be DOS games or
WIN95 games. Its always somethig like the above messages or invalid page
fault.
I know that none of my games are 3D compatible. But shouldn't they work as
normal games??? I've tried loading the DOS setup stuff for this card, but
I couldn't find any on the CD-Rom for the Diamond Stealth 3D. My windows
programs seem to run fine. Its just my DOS and Windows games that are
screwey.
I even went as far as to try an ATI-3D RAGE card. But I've got the same
problems.
IF ANYONE KNOWS WHAT A POSSIBLE SOLUTION WOULD BE. PLEASE POST HERE OR
E-MAIL ME.
Thanx for your help in advance.
