My Nascar Pro wheel problem solved!

Hello all,
I've been following the discussions relating to an 'Unplugged'
message when the switch on the pedals is set to combined since mine
did it too.  It only worked if set to 'separate', no matter what boxes
were checked.  I bought a Thrustmaster ACM gamecard, hooked it up and
calibrated it for my computer's speed (trivially easy), and the wheel
works as it should now.  I guess my sound card's gameport didn't have
enough power to make the wheel function properly.  I used the beta of
CPR to test it, and it works flawlessly.  I was also experiencing a
problem with the accel pedal needing to travel only an inch to go from
no throttle to full throttle, and after applying the Directx5a patch
and using the new gamecard, all is well and it's much more driveable
for me.  Now, if I could just get Microprose to send me the copy of
GP2 I've had on order the past couple of weeks...
HTH,
Myron
