Problems with Nascar Pro Racing Wheel

by ron » Sat, 25 Jul 1998 04:00:00

Has anyone had this type of problem with the Pro wheel?  There is "play" in
the wheel that can't be corrected by tightening the bottom***or fixed
with a bungee replacement.  More precisely, the play is at the area of the
large white wheel through which the steering shaft passes and on which the
bunge cord rides.  There is a certain point when the steering wheel passes
thru the mid-point of being turned from one direction back to another that
the white wheel slips on the shaft causing a "dead zone" or "slippage" that
affects the handling of the car (is this as clear as mud?:}]  I have only
had the Pro wheel 4 months.  I notified thrustmaster a couple of days ago,
but so far all I got back has been their automated message advising that
they would get back to me...etc..etc.  I am back to using my old T2, which
has taken a little getting use to.
Thanks

I notified thrustmaster a couple of days ago,

I friend of mine had a similar problem, along with the buttons on the wheel
going south. He got an RMA and they fixed it right away

You should call them. It is much quicker
