GPL: Epilepsy!?!?

There is no doubt about it.

'Grand Prix Legends' suffers from epilepsy!

I'm talking about  the game going into intermitent stutter for several second
at random times resulting in loss of control and therefore crashing the car.

Imagine this after 64 of 65 laps!

Mostly, this happens when driving through more complex graphic areas
i.e.
the front straight or corners (fast and slow)

I am not alone according to other reports in this news group.

when I first installed the game it was fine. I had not installed or changed
anything since then but after a couple of weeks this problem started, and it
will not go away.

I've tried all sugestions with no effect.

No screen saver, not even a wallpaper
No programs running in the background
(have checked with task manager - systray+explorer only)

There is no disk accessing at the time when this problem arises.

Within the game, I've reduced the sound to as low as 2

I've tried at different resolutions with both Voodoo2 and Hercules (AGP8Mb)

changing controlers made no difference

In fact you name it and I've tried it.

I've even reinstalled with no success.

ALL OTHER PROGRAMS RUN PERFECTLY ON MY SYSTEM

system:
boxed 333Mhz PII
128Mb sdram
above graphics cards
SB Live! sound card
wads of hard disk space!

As I'm not the only one suffering this problem I sugest that GPL is extremely
buggy and after the brilliant Nascar2 and Indycar2 this is a BIG letdown from
Papyrus after all the delays for this eagerly awaited program to find it
uplayable is the pits!

NO PUN INTENDED

Come on Papyrus sort this out before we go MAD!
