I was 10 too...small world eh :o)
I too was deeply effected by his death. I can clearly remember the
sense of shock and disbelief of losing a personal 'hero'. It was the
first time that I, as a child, began to fully understand meaning of
death.
It saddens me further to know that he was hounded by the taxman even
after he died !...... but that's another story....

% Clark drove anything and won in it. He would switch from one car to the
% next a few days later and win in it. He won F1, F2, Indy, Touring
% Cars...he even raced Nascars.
Too bad his car crapped out on him at Rockingham (I believe), it would
have been interesting to see how he fared.
