Sims that skid! (Take note MGI, Papy, Sierra etc)

Hi all,

Does anyone know of any sims that have a skid pan course, with realistic
physics (and the ability) for handbrake turns etc.? (And no, I don't mean
destruction derby on two player mode with only one person at the controls
:-)

Also, obstacle courses and driving skills tester courses are something that
I would like to see in a sim. The only game that I know that comes close to
this I think is called powerdrive. It is an overhead view game that allows
you to drive cars from Minis to Toyotas and had a number of courses that
required you to drive through thin passages, reverse into a garage, stop at
a particular point, drive in a circle of cones, slalom etc. There was also
an ice course that was large and square with cones in it, that sufficed as a
skid pan.

So, how about a *real* sim that has these sorts of courses? (With***pit
view, rear view mirrors, nice graphics etc.)

Also, to thrustmaster, how about a handbrake add-on for your steering wheel
kits?

If any of these things exist already, I have not heard of them, but would
love to.

Anyone else agree?

Ben

PS. I think this wish has its roots in an old BBC overhead racer that
allowed you to set traction to any value between 0% and 100% :) Anyone
remember that game?

Try SODA off road and make your own skidpad.

The politically correct version of retarded input?  ;)

Cheers!

The company developing Trans-Am Racin 68-72 supposedly uses a skidpad (as
well as other standard car testing courses -- slalom, breaking and
acceleration strips, etc) to test the cars modeled in the game.
Though I haven't heard much about this game since the Avault preview... I
NEED TO KNOW!!!!
