Ed, are you reading this???  This would be a FANTASTIC roll-out promo
for NR2 and the NRL.  A convention center type layout with about 100
driving stations.  Maybe get Gordon, Craven, Bobby Labonte and some
other WC guys to come out.  Have Benny Parsons call a race while it's
shown on a projection TV, exclusive coverage by RPM2night.  You can
even have (or better have) the NRL equivalent to Miss Winston there
for trophy presentations.  Anyway, for the marketing help all I ask is
a free copy of NR2 :)

A better way to do this would be to set up centers in Detroit, Chicago,
Dallas, LA, SF, NY....etc.. tied into a server in each site.(heat races
and such) Local winners would advance...
Then the winners could pair off on the real NRL ( hawaii) (through the
fast connection low latency network hawaii is looking into) to race the
long feature with CocaCola supplying a purse of $50K...
This could work.

No charge Ed... just make sure I'm included!!

There's nothing wrong with the idea, but if everyone's going to
Boston to race, then why do we need a modem multiplayer racing series ?
We'll just direct connect everyone's computers since everyone will be
there. :)

And don't forget to hire some security at the hotel when someone
obliterates half the drivers there ( imagine Donnie Allison-Cale
Yarborough times 100 ! ) It'll be like WWF !!

Let's start the ball rolling. How many people would be interested in
attending a Hawaii racers convention in Boston? If possible please
include the best available time you could attend, and any ideas that
you may have that would add to the enjoyment of the convention. Maybe
an outing to see the Red Sox, etc. I'm not familiar with Boston, so
any ideas on the best place to stay, eat, etc. If possible please
e-mail me with the info.

Hey Ed, is there a way to include a mention of this in the MOTD page
on Hawaii? I'm sure not all of the racers read r.a.s., and it'd make
it easier to get the word out instead of in the chat rooms.

I realize this is just a shot in the dark, but think of the
posibilities!

Ooohhh, kewl, or even better:

                          ** The Hawaii Roll-Out Tour '97 **

Coming soon to a convention center near you.

Just think Ed (and the PR guys at Papy), you'd clean up on the t-shirt
concession alone.  I for one would have to buy the "NR2 - Mega Virtual
Velocity" shirt.  I bet NASCAR would even jump in to fund a big chunk
of something along these lines, and their PR budget has to be
gargantuan!  Maybe they'll give you one of those great big transporter
rigs to bum around the US in.  Just some more food for thought.

We could go to LOUDEN for a tour, its close.  We could also get Digital
to proivide some pc's as a promotional thing... ALPHA's.

Get some big sposors like COKE and GM etc to provide some purse money for
the participants... we might be able to make money at this...hmmm
