F1RS and Microsoft FFW Question

When using the Microsoft FFW with Ubisoft F1RS there seems to be a large dead
zone where moving the wheel has no effect on steering.  I have set the dead
zone to small in settings using the Microsoft profiler which helps but not
much.  Any ideas?  I notice that when in F1RS configeration, the display still
reads "Joystick 1".  Should this say Wheel?  Thanks.

You need to alter the settings from within one of the files to say that the
controller is a wheel, I'm sorry I can't remember what file it is , as I
have now changed to MGPRS2 which can be done from the game.
It reads something like :-
Player 1 control
Joystick 0
wheel 1
I think there is a readme file with patch 109 which explains this

Sorry I can't be of more help

Thanks for the tip.  I figured it out and works much better.  Don't suppose you
know how to avoid playing the start up vids.  Sorry, but we got the game a
little later in the US so I'm somewhat behind!!

Use the Sidewinder 3.0 software not the 3.2 download from the web site.
