A computer store in Victoria (Canada) claims to have it in stock as well:

http://www.compusmart.com/  (search for nascar)

Sorry, though, $60 bucks for (essentially) an expansion pack? I think N4
(which I hardly ever play anymore) was the last Nascar game, and potentially
the last Papyrus game, I'll ever buy :(

No, I think he was meant CART. You know the teams that kicked IRLs ass
at Indy two years in a row.

Hmmm, most of us wouldn't give an arse whatever "joke" the series is at the
moment.  Those cars are probably the best and most fun cars to simulate and
race, and the tracks are for the most unique and rewarding to drive on.

Eh?  Whassamatteryou - don't you like on-track passing, insanely high oval
speeds, and some great road courses?

When best Buy does get it in there is a $5 mail in rebate on their website.

I always get games at Best buy since they have the 30 day 110% price match.

And I'm supposed to care about that? When you open wheel guys start
racing 34-37 events a year and filling fields with 43 cars, let me
know. I MIGHT be interested then.

I picked it up today at the EBworld in HAdley Mass.

I had little hope that it would be there, especially due to the complex
backpedalling on the EBworld site, but I ahd a few minutes break from work
and decided to check for the heck of it.  There it was.

Not that anyone cares, but here is my history with the N4/N2002 series so
far.

I have a P3/1G on the 133 FSB.  512 Meg of ram and a GeForce2 Ti 500 vid
card. I run XP home and a SB LIve value, too. N4 ran alright as long as
there was no accidents on the track, in which case it turned to a total
slide show.  Aside from that fact, the AI are a complete joke and the sim
has the same irritating overly sensitive physics as GPL, which are NOT
appropriate for a 3400 lb stock car.  I think I spent about 2 hours total
with the sim since I bought it, based on the lame AI and inaccurate physics
model.

I liked the N2002 demo, enough to spend 50$ for what amounts to a patch.
The physics seemed a little better and the driving tips with DW were pretty
cool, I thought.  It is still a slideshow when cars crash, and when I
dropped out of the program to reduce the resolution to 800x600 from 1024x768
I came back in without any sound from my own engine and with my MSFF
gameport autodetected as a second controller.

Im not one of those dorks who considers a purchase to be a test drive, so I
am keeping it, but I am a little disappointed so far.  It pretty much N4
with better AI and physics, but the same issues (and more) with
comaptability and performance.

And liberals and peaceniks and socialists still suck.

Does the AI now stay in the draft more at the superspeedways, or does it
wander
all over the track like it did in N4?
