TM T2 & CH Pedals - Help?

by Tim Huntingto » Fri, 02 Oct 1998 04:00:00

I have a Thrustmaster T2 and I recently bought CH Pedals to use instead
of the original Thrustmaster ones. It works great in GPL (using direct
input and using the pedals on the seperate axis switch - this is the
reason I got the CH pedals), and on the combined axis setting, works in
F1RS (anyone know if it can work on seperate axis with this game).

My problem comes with TOCA - by default (in single axis mode), the
throttle and brake on the CH pedals move the axis in the opposite
direction to the original Thrustmaster pedals, and TOCA doesn't allow
you to set pedals to controls, so the left pedal is now the accelerator
and the right pedal is the brake.

I checked with Codemasters to see if this was swappable via a config
file or something, but got a polite 'No!'.

I've tried setting the controller up under Win 95 in many different
ways, but the only way Win 95 recognizes the wheel is if I have it set
up as what it is (Thrustmaster T1/T2 without Adapter - by the way, I can
use the adapter, and it makes no difference to this problem).

Is there a way that the pedals can be configured to work the same as the
old Thrustmaster ones that anyone knows of??

Thanks,
Tim

It really burns me when a game doesn't allow you to map axis (Microsoft!).
