I spent a couple of hours today working on N2002Rank. No
handicaps yet (any suggestions?), just bare-bones best time
listings. you can use your gplrank account to upload your
playrecs.ini file. Feel free to create a new gplrank account if
you don't have one yet.

N2002Rank Alpha 0.01 is available here:

for now the only tracks included are those provided with the
game and those converted by Dave Nooans great track converter
for N4 / N2002.

The track lessons included with the game all have example laps which can
be extracted as individual replays in the replay theater.  Once
extracted you can easily determine what the lap time was.  That would
allow you to build a set of benchmark times for N2002.  A bit of work,
but it seems like the most logical way to do it.

Ive uploaded my file but some tracks dont seem to have me listed there where
i have definatley run, sears point for example. I dont have any addon
tracks, does it take the best lap from testing, practise, qualifying and
racing?

sorry to hear that. To answer your original question: n2002rank
currently saves the the "best_lap_ALL" records found in
playrecs.ini. I plan to add support for qualifying and race
results at a later date.

On another note, last night I added back2back functionality to
N2002Rank as found in gplrank and rtrank.
