(Sorry if this message is up 3 times.  I'm having server problems.)
I'm having a problem with the sound in TOCA 2.  Everything is a half-second
or so delayed on the right channel, except music.  Announcer, pit crew, and
worst of all, all sound effects have a horrible echoing effect.  I have a
maestro MPU401 sound card with Direct X6.1 freshly installed from your disk.
Even with the sound set for mono I have this problem.  It's very
distracting, especially since I must usually play with headphones, making it
even more pronounced.  Anything I can do?  Thanks.

It's a soundcard compatibility problem.
There is a workaround that'll help, go into control panel / multimedia, then
under the audio tab select advanced properties for the playback device, then
select performance and take the hardware acceleration slider down to the 2nd
notch from the left (basic acceleration).
