Nascar 2003 1.2.0.1 Patch and plate track setups?

by Bill Anderso » Sun, 09 Nov 2003 14:33:54

I race N2003 online and since the official patch was released my plate track
setups seem sluggish. It seems like other cars just fly by me. I can't even
keep up with the draft.

My steering doesn't seem to pull as much to the right on the straights as it
used to either. My setups used to pull slightly to the right on the
straights and I would almost not even have to turn my wheel much to the left
in the turns before the patch. Now with the patch and the same setups, they
don't drive the same. The patch didn't seem to do this to my non-plate track
setups.

I have recalibrated my TSW steering wheel  in both Control Panel and the
game and the results are the same.

Anyone else notice this?

Thanks.

The sim physics were changed somewhat in the patch.  It's not recommended to
race with "pre patch" setups.

Phisics are a bit different in 1.2.0.1. Read the 1.2.0.1 readme file in your
Nascar 2003 folder.

Nascar 2003 1.2.0.1 Patch and plate track setups?

The two best setups I've seen for the SS tracks are Tims setups from early
in the year (very good Daytona setup), and the Expert setups post-patch.

I have not used Tims setups post-patch yet, so I'm not sure how they held up
through the changes.

Tims pre-patch setups at Daytona were particularly good off of turn 4, which
is where most people were having serious problems with areo-push.
