Nascar 2003 - Patch - Trans Am?

Did I miss something here?  I hear a lot about it?   What is the end result?

Is there a trans am mod I can download?  Is the patch worth it?

How do I do all this?  I'd love to know how and where...

Many thanks in advance :)

James

The Patch can be gotten here, but is not official.
http://www.theuspits.com/sims/index.html You will not be able to get on
multiplayer until officially released from Sierra. The Busch and Trans Am
file were available at Project Wildfire but the site is down or has moved.

The TransAm cars haven't been released, but you can get the phyics to work
on Cup cars http://www.onlineracin.com/pwf/download.asp?cid=6

Of course you need to have a patched version of the sim.

Bob I noticed when I unlocked the T/A physics that I had 5th and sixth gears
but that they were the same as cups 4th. I am assuming it has to do with
setup? Do you know of any T/A setups?

Tiny, there in lies the real beauty of the T/A patch.  You need to really
revisit your Diff and Trans Ratio's, particularly the Diff.  Try lowering
(the numeric value), and then adjust the gears.

Just started playing around with the Trans-AM mod and I have started
with Mosport. Just curious what is a quick time here? I have hit 1.178's
and think there is still some more in it. Anyone have any times here yet?

Nascar 2003 - Patch - Trans Am?

I just installed the T-Am patch today, I hadn't felt like driving in the
past two weeks.

My fourth lap was a 1:15.8xx at Clear 70o, with my Winston car setup (even
same gears). I'm sure some hotshoes are in the 1:14's or 1:13's already.

Thanks Achim that will give me an idea of where I need to go.
Not sure I can get there but will have fun trying.
If you are posting any setups and/or replays let me know.

Will do Pete. They'll be on the usual site. Not sure when, though. I'm
pretty lazy WRT driving these days. Probably too fascinated by the RASCAR
story ;-)

Ok thanks. I'll keep hacking away at it.
I've decided to not get caught up in the Rascar
war of words. Maybe we need to start a new group.
They have AA(***ics Anonymous) time for
RA. :-)

We could vote on it but that might bring out a yellow
caution flag. :-)
