SCGT VERY Nice!!

Just to add to the recent spate if SCGT posts, this is my story... :)

After lapping some race prepared Peugeots, Elises and Vectra's last
weekend and after being given a highly recommended recommendation from a
friend I decided to buy it.

After half-an-hour lapping in the Porche at Donnington (Short) all I can
say is... woohoo! nice :) This car feels familier. Alhough rear-wheel
driven, the ride is very similar to what I've experienced in real life.
You have to muscle the car through the turns, and the tyre squel is just
as it should be.

Funny, we seem to forget that computers are clever. GPL is the result of
hard work & hour of dedicated realism. SCGT probably produces similar
results but in a vastly easier way.

Of course, that's not it for me. I'm a ture simulation racing driver and
there are two things so far which bug me - No clutch and having to enter
silly cheat codes. This is a strange one. It's not a true simulation,
but not a ture arcade racer. However, I can see why it's attracted alot
of attention in this community. It's very immersive! :o)

yes, gtinsider is a must for any scgt driver.  While there, pick up
the Advanced options editor.  You can then create a field of front wheel
drive cars that do indeed feel different than the original ones.
have fun

SCGT VERY Nice!!

Rob,

After driving GPL online for more than a year,I gave SCGT another
try,only this time I installed the 1.551 patch,advance options patch,and the
3.0 service patch. And all I can say is that SCGT is almost as good as GPL.
Yes,the cars are much easier to drive, but then again, anything from the 90s
would be compared to a 1967 F1 car.

And with the 3.0 service patch, I have a the current Trans-Am cars
instead of GT-Q,and the touring cars.

While I still drive gpl online,I don't do it 5 nights per week, but
rather alternate between the 2 sims.
