bandwith-challenged, ~59 MB !)

There goes the week-end :)

Many thanks to the artists who built this.

Very impressive. Now if only someone could do something about the engine's
sound. That doesn't sound like a Bimmer at all.

Anyone know if they're planning on releasing this for GTL?

This is one nice track for RFactor! I love the long straights and the
gently sloping corners... truly amazing work on this track..

THanks to the developers...

Truly fantastic, finally a complete and somewhat realistic Nordschleife!
This must have taken huge amounts of work to accomplish.

Still, the Nordschleife-part of this release is only a very, very highly
tweaked GPL conversion - there are many corners (that are the same corners
in GPL too) that are still wrong compared to the real track. But this is
truly great track release and hopefully those errors will be corrected some
day.

This is the best version yet, really enjoying the new detailed track
and grip levels, and it just made me go buy a copy of rFactor!

I had tried the rFactor demo of about a year ago but didn't get into
the fantasy tracks and cars prefering to spend my time with RBR and
GTL, but this new track release caused me to take a new look again and
this track combined with all the other track and car mods available for
rFactor since release (www.rfactorcentral.com) have really made it a
strong package worth my time.

Especially the combination of F1 1979 mod and this new Nordschleife
version will now finally retire GPL off my hard drive.

It has taken its time but rFactor has really taken off of late, at least
for me. Kudos for ISI in creating an engine for the community to develop
and sticking with it with ongoing engine development.

Although the fantasy tracks can be a turn off, I do believe they are
very well designed and make for some excellent online racing. However,
if real life tracks and cars are a must then they are coming thick and
fast now.

Cheers

Plus the rFactor engine seems to give me about a ~15-20 FPS boost from
GTL and GT2 demo in similar car and track situations and settings with
no noticeable reduction in eyecandy (just installed the awesome free
sky textures from hudsonkerr).

Definitely agree, kudos and thanks to ISI and all the dedicated modders
for sticking with it and turning it into such a quality and varied sim
experience with so many tracks and cars modeled, this looks like it
will live on my HD for a long time.

Noooo!!! Maybe they will actually accept my rFactor as a legit
purchase.. Man. if you pay through Paypal its all over. No one
recognizes that you actually bought rFactor and you go through so much
trouble...

RBR rocks. You should of stayed with that.. Though the Ring seems very
fun... quite tempted to get my wheel now. Pro driving force for now
until the G25 comes out. :) Then the pro retires to PS2 and the G25 is
for PC only. What a money saver, no USB hub necessary.
