Yesterday I wanted to do a ride on the Nordschleife and looked at the
website several times. I even called a phone-number where a tape was
running, telling the opening times.
Both of them stated 12:15 as the opening time. Despite it was the day
after the Europen GP and parts of the Nordschleife were used for
parking and camping, I arrived at 12:30 at the Nuerburgring. A lot of
other fanatics like me from all across Europe were waiting eagerly for
the track-opening.
Then suddenly a message board told us: opening time 14:00.
So we decided to take a trip to the lovely Nuerburg-castle. You guess
? closed on mondays!

Back to the track the message board was showing opening time 16:00
BTW, it was raining most of the time.
Looking at the Caterhams, Jags 220, Porsche GT3 for 2 hours....in the
rain....

Message board: 17:00 uahhhhhh!!!!

Well at 17:00 they really opened the track, and most of us crazy
people were still there after waiting for more than 4 hours.
The good thing: the track was mostly dry now, except some parts at
Pflanzgarten.

Did three laps, left with a smile :)
