Will the 14-mile Nurburgring be in GPL? I assume that it should, as
the sim will be based on the 67 (?) season. It's just that I haven't
seen any specific mention of it, it would be a HUGE undertaking to
recreate, and it seems as though it would be a major selling point. If
I were developing the sim, I would trumpet it to the heavens every
chance I got. (And I'd like it complete the first time out, with the
words "Track Pack" coming only in the context of making possible other
years' authentic schedules.)

Also, will the French GP site be Le Mans, as in 67? (Rheims in 66,
Rouen in 68.)

I'm gonna RUN out and buy the thing no matter what, but if I know I'm
going to get to play Jimmy Clark on every inch of the real
Nurburgring, I'd like the chance to warn my wife now that I won't be
seeing her for a while.

You would if you had secured the rights to the track. :) I understand
that Papy is still in negotiations with the Nuerburgring GmbH. The
wrong sort of publicity could blow the deal.

Le Mans will not be included, since apparently nobody really liked the
F1 track there. (Drivers called it a "Mickey Mouse circuit", or
something.) IIRC, the track for the French GP in the sim will be
Rouen.

Ditto.

She'll notice that anyway. :)

"No", and "No" to both questions.
1) Licensing has not been secured for the 23km Nurburgring circuit at this
time.
2) The Le Mans - Bugatti circuit will not be included.

Re: 1) Please, please, please -- A mid-60's GP season without the full
'Ring would be a sad thing indeed....in fact, I'd buy the sim if
Nrburgring was the only track available. Hmmmm...Wouldn't that be a
great idea for a sim? Instead of one season's cars and many tracks, how
about one track (Nrburgring), and GP cars ranging from the prewar
Mercedes, Alfas, and Auto Unions, through the postwar Ferraris, Mercedes
W196, BRMs, Lotus, etc., etc., PLUS the 1000Km sportscars, like the
Lotus 23, Ferraris (up to and including the 512), Porsches (up to and
including the 917), Matras, Ford GTs, Cobra Daytonas. Man, I wish I knew
how to code -- what a trip THAT would be!

Re 2) Praise de Lawd! It may not be accurate, but my vote is for Rheims,
or -- I know this is anachronistic heresy, but what a great track --
Clermont-Ferrand.

Thanks

As far as I'm concerned, the full Nordschleife will NOT be in the game as
Papy had problems with the Nurburgring-Management concerning the license. Go
to one of the many GPL-sites on the net to find out.
