No, sorry.

The only thing lacking in F1 2002 right now imo is better multiplayer
support. Im gonna write mail after mail to ISI until they improve it. Right
now it works great, if you got a good host.. but they arent common. :/

You have got to be joking.  Everytime I play F12001 online with a friend, I
think what a glaring oversight it is that there is no AI in multiplayer (and
no replay in multiplayer for that matter).  I kept thinking that F12002
would fix the oversights that they ran out of time to put in to the previous
release.  This time there is no excuse.  They are so close to the perfect
sim that it is extremely frustrating.  Have ISI ever played a Papy sim
online?  Do they even know who Papy is?!!

I guess the most telltale sign that they aren't serious about multiplayer is
that there is no dedicated server capability :( :(.  I wish someone from ISI
could post in this newsgroup and explain their stance on multiplayer.

I guess most people just don't enjoy running against AI anymore
Martin. But there still those who do.

Reaching back into the vault, World Circuit did MP very well. It
allowed 2 players to connect and fill the field with AI cars. It also
allowed you ro run a championship season in MP mode. And if you got
disconnected for some reason, the game saved and picked up right where
you left off. That champ season option is one I miss.

yessir I ran a champ season with world circuit waaay back when.  Head
to head with a full field of ai over a modem.  We 'thought' it was amazing.
Of course we had to put up with a car motion that consisted of lurching
ahead 10 feet, pausing, lurching some more, pausing etc etc.
You cannot imagine how amazed we were when the multiplayer for Indycar
Racing was finally added via a patch.  To actually drive head to head with
framrates that matched solo offline play...incredible.   Too bad one company
quit improving 10 years ago...(or whenever WC was around)

Using the LAN bandwidth settings in the GPL core.ini and using a dedicated

guys and fill the rest of the field with AI.  With the LAN settings
(everyone on broadband of course), everyone can see all of the cars, all of
the time.  It's an incredible amount of fun.  Alot more fun for me than
joining VROC and running with fewer cars or only seeing 5 or so surrounding
cars due to the lower data rates.  I guess you may be right that I'm one of
the few people that likes filling the field with AI because I don't hear
many complaints about the lack of it in F12001. Oh well, guess I might as
well give up complaining about this.
