Sorry if I am being boneheaded, but is there a way to add computer opponents
to multiplayer?  The checkbox on the setup screen is greyed out.

TIA,
Gerald

Reduce the maximum number of clients you are allowing onto the server. If
you set the number of clients to the max (42), then there is no room for AI.
Reduce max clients to 20, and that will allow you to have a maximum of 22 AI
on top of the 20 human. The total of both human and AI can not exceed 42
plus yourself if it is not a dedicated server.

Gerald....

What bandwidth does AI cars then take up......when in Multiplayer?  Same as
a "client" (ie. 21 kbps)?

thanks

It shouldn't create any additional bandwidth using the standard ini
settings.

Really?  How does the AI car positions get sent to the other "clients" then?

Umm, I guess the same way all the other cars' positions do.  Am I being
boneheaded?  There is a checkbox in the multiplayer setup screen, but I cant
figure out what to do to make it anything other than greyed out.
