DOS Mouse Driver with OSR2

by Scott R. Lun » Mon, 23 Mar 1998 04:00:00

Hey, I recently installed OSR2 in this new homebuilt.  I was previously
using an IBM Aptiva and all I had to do to load my mouse driver when I
shelled out to DOS or started from the Command Prompt was type "mouse".
This worked from pretty much any directory for some reason.  Anyway, now
I can't even find a mouse.exe file on OSR2 with the Find applet!  Could
someone please tell me how to load a mouse driver from vanilla DOS??
It's not loading even when I am coming directly from Win95.  I want to
run Nascar 2 in DOS instead of Win95.  Thanks in advance.

Sounds like you don't have any DOS mouse drivers on your hard drive.  Go to
the manufacturers web site and download them.  They should include
instructions on loading the drivers for DOS sessions.  Mine is
C:\mouse\mouse.exe for example.
