Thrustmaster F1 Ferrari FF Wheel issues

Is anybody having a good time with one of these wheels? The tarmac
rumble on it is so heavy that it drowns out the impulses coming from
N2k2 about grip levels and so on. The latest profiler software seems
to kill FF totally, meaning that you can't use button mapping with
split axis unless you sacrifice FF. Also, the centre spot on it is
about -20 clicks away from the actual straight setting.

ATM, it just feels like a cheap PSX wheel compared to the fine control
my old MS Sidewinder FF wheel offers. The difference in quality of FF
is just enourmous.

Have I got a bad one or is this product a turkey?

Thrustmaster have now confirmed to me via their tech support that
F1GP4, Nascar 2002 & Total Immersion Racing all have major issues
surrounding FF under WinXP. I expect if I'd named GPL, F12k2 & CM3
they'd have said so for them as well but I have only tried the three
listed above.

Never mind that my Microsoft Sidewinder works fine on all these
games.....And will be working again from tonight.

This pile of ***is going back and if that's an example of the
approach of their tech support people nowadays then TM are a shadow of
the company they used to be. What an utterly negative approach to
supporting your product.

Funny, mine seems fine. The center is off but that's easily fixed with
DXTweak2.

Andi.
