According to the user manual, there should be 12 tracks. But I am
missing three of them - Daytone International Speedway, Pheonix
International Raceway, and Las Vegas Motor Speedway. I have the latest
patch. Anyone know what's going on here?

I believe some last minute Licensing problems came up.  I expect the
MSM guys will clarify.  Do you ride "behind" the rider or on the***pit
view, with it's dancing fairing???

Daytona is not in it because remember it's Daytona... and the air-head
executives there don't want to sell the license for it unless you have like
a multi-million gift to give them <vbg>.

LVMS was taken out of the 1999 AMA SBK Calendar so it's not in the game,
even if it was modeled and was considered one of the coolest track by the
guys at Motorsims.  Who knows maybe we will have "that" one some day in the
future.

As for Phoenix, it's owned by the same people than DIS If I remember
correctly, and they weren't able to license it.

We modeled Las Vegas last year (It was our prototype track) . It was
everybody's favorite. But it was dropped from the official schedule as was
Phoenix. We will attempt to add any new tracks which replace these two next
year as an update. The process is - at the beginning of each season we will
adjust the game to be current regarding bikes and tracks.

You're right about Daytona. They get a fortune from Sega for an exclusive
license. We will build a Virtual motorspeedway one of these days to replace
the Daytona track. We are in the process of engaging a real world track
designer to give us a virtual super speedway layout located here on our
office site.

I like the***pit view, but find it too unstable to use for long.
Don't like chase views much, except for learning the track. So I
mostly used the "fixed***pit" mode, where I'm on the bike but the
view stays firmly behind the windsheild.

That's disappointing (not that you will add new tracks, I mean, but
that you dropped Vegas).

I feel that the game needs a high speed track like a tri-oval. Some
people like road tracks, but a LOT prefer a simple high speed track,
especially for learning the game. Right now I'm not sure there is a
good track to ease beginners into the game.

The "airheads" signed an exclusive contract with Sega. Sega refuses
to license Daytona to anyone for any price!

Well yes that's true, but Im not sure if the license SEGA has is for the
"Daytona International Speedway complex", or simply the shape and likeness
of the 2.5mile Tri-oval superspeedway.  So Motorsims could actually get a
license for the road course (same for SportsCarGT), but Im sure it would be
a price way to high.

It's sad but that's how they think.

Motorsims didn't drop it.  AMA dropped it from their schedule.

Yes, BIR is about as prefect as you are going to get. :)  It has both high
speed corners [1 and 2....if you got the balls for 'em :)], has a nice good
rhythm section of changing radius turns on it through the back field.  And
of course it has a nice sharp corner leading onto the front stretch.

You can "lock" down the***pit view if you like. I believe the default is
the HOME key.

Is there anyway to stablize the***pit view so that everything doesn't get
"squashed" when you slam on the brakes?  I realize this may be to give the
illusion of g-forces at work, but it seems weird and unrealistic for everything
visual to suddenly get "minaturized" for a few moments as the bike slows down.

Yes, that's what I meant by the "fixed***pit" view I most often use.
