Gravis Blackhawk in GP2 and Cart problem

After  I changed to Gravis Blackhawk digital, both games refuse to accept
that joystick.
GP2 does not allow me  to calibrate, Cart locks up at the start. Joystick
works fine with NFS3 and the rest of the games. I already tried to calibrate
in Dos and windows...
Any suggestion
