Anyone know of a PC racing game which features the Australian Mount Panorama
track?
Last October the BCC showed a touringcar event being raced on this
circuit...

there's a really good GP2 track done by Glenn Durden. It seems really
accurate, and is easily my favourite GP2 circuit.

You can get the track from http://grandprix2.ga-sports.com/

But you need GP2 of course!

Isn't this International Rally Championship? Torus does stuff for THQ who is
producing a similar-looking title. Release date: Q2-99. http://www.thq.com/

The answer is NO. They are producing a game based on the Aust V8
touring cars, which will have Mt Panorama as well as other Aust
tracks. It is not a rally game

there were a couple of articles in australian PC Gamer on the auto sim genre ...
one of the featured games is call Touring Car Championship ... it is still in the
works although the screen shots looked pretty sweet. It is based on the V8
australian touring cars and will feature (im pretty sure) the mountain.

it isnt going to be a full on sim ... but the impression i got was it is going to
be a cross between TOCA and VIPER RACING ... so if it can come close that will be
pretty good. It will be nice to race on some aussie tracks although there will be
only 8 (i think)

the game should be in beta testing about now ... so look for an early 99 release

oops got it a little wrong ... the title is Touring Car Challenge ... made by
torus ... their website is ... www.torus.com.au

there are a few screen shots on the projects page ... looks nice ... still a few
months from release though
