I got the priviledge of watching the Bathurst 1000 last night on Speedvision,
and was wondering if anyone ever considered modeling this amazing track for
GPL.......  I WAS able to find a GP2 version, but have yet to give it a
go........

Watching the touring cars fight it out in a 1000k race was quite a treat to say
the least.

Australian game co tourus are making a touring car challenge game. It
features Bathurst, the game looks like it will be fun but Ive read that it
will be more like toca than gpl.

I have found a track modeled for GP2 of Bathurst -- it is kind of rough, and
the elevation change is not really evident.  I can send it to you, if you'd
like.  To be honest, I ran 3 or 4 laps there, and gave up, not realistic enough
to be enjoyable.  (NOTE: This was solely my opinion, and not a condamnation of
the person who constructed the GP2 version)

I have not played GPL but after all the posts that I have seen I am tempted
to give it a go.
I pulled out my trusty GP2 and downloaded a couple of bathurst tracks. The
best one came from a complete set which is the formula Holden set. It was
absolutely awesome to drive around bathurst at F1 speed and the track was
very well done. None of this floating a few feet in the air etc etc.

I must add this one does give the sensation of elevation change.

www.grandprix2.com

follow the track packs section and look for holden set.
Just pull the last track (F1ct16) out and have a go.
You need the obvious like nocdrom to have the tracks on the H/D.
