N2 patch (cross weight)

I loaded the patch and now my cross weight is all the way to the right, but
says zero.  I can't put any cross weight in now, only take it way.  Is
there a fix for this?

I recall a related post that said you can pull into the pits and have
your pit crew adjust the cross-weight.  Then exit to the garage and save
the setup.

Did your layout.dat file get patched? (It should have.) If you had a
modified layout.dat, it wouldn't get patched, and could cause the
above problem...

Check to be sure...

Yes Jim is right on this.I recieved a Layout.dat file from a freind who
made some changes to the dash for me and when i patched it i only had
negative cross weight setting adjustments. With my original layout file
which i never deleted or over wrought i had no problems after i patched
it so i iwould say use the original Layout patch it then change what
ever you have changed in it now.

If you have layout.dat changed just unpack it and take the file that you
want.  After go into the N2 CD_ROM and put a new layout.dat in your N2
directory.  Now apply the patch and after unpack the updated layout.dat
and reput the files you saved before.  So now you have (per exemple)
your modified***pit but with the patched layout.dat  It's don't sounds
maybe clear but remember that I speak 99.9% of the time in French.
English is my second language.  In Quebec it's a bilingual province
(country!vive le Qubec libre) and I don't practice my English often.
So if I'm not clear just reply to my post.  Thanks a lot,

I've heard from of a couple other people who I believe had modified
LAYOUT.DAT who have experienced this problem.  I suspect if you do a clean
install from CD and then apply the patch, it will be resolved.
