N1 to N2 transition

Well I'm just about ready to delete my N1 files.  Kind of a sad day.  Its
been such a good friend.

I have been able to adjust to the N2's changes except for the ability to
send an on-line message during modem races and not 'esc' from the race
itself.  It was a nice tool to have to check status of your buddy ... to
see if it was he who caused the yellow.

I find that the autochat more than makes up for this.  I actually
found the in-race chat annoying.  Too many times I'd be racing, and my
opponent would be sitting in the pits or something chattering away.
You feel rude if you don't answer, but I don't happen to be one of
those lucky few who can drive and type at the same time <g>.

Now, my 1st (and favorite) auto chat message is "Can't chat now, I'm
racing!" <g>.  With 10 available auto chat messages, you should be
able to customize them enough to keep each other pretty well informed.
