Hehehe... that's the sort of thing one gets when modelling complex real life
stuff.

On a more flippant note: any reason, theorethically, why a current F1 car
couldn't be driven (slowly) on two wheels (supposing traction control off
and such)?

I've seen stupider shit has happened in GPL...

These are just programs, not actual physics. There's always gonna be
anomalies. Cool screenshot though

It would seem that the tyres are too soft to withstand the weight
coming in in such a weird angle, but then again f1 cars are really
light thingies... no idea. If there isn't sufficient downforce being
generated by the car's speed I would see no reason why driving on two
wheels shouldn't be possible.

cheers,

Been there, done that...several times...
The tires have so much grip that the car flips without hitting anything, but
then I keep spinning out otherwise... :-(

I've done that in N2003.....just increase the track grip to some ridiculous
amount and away you go.

No doubt, altho I think GPL passed it's sell-by date years ago as far
as believability of physics goes.

Yeah, it's just weird that that happened at like 50km/hr while slowly
driving in the racing line (it's the uphill 1st gear lefthander midway
through Malaysia).

I realize the horse is long dead, but I think the physics in F1C are
incredible.  I just wish there were a complete set of F1 tracks that
didn't have all kinds of random problems, and I'm thinking more of the
polygon seams that flipped me over in that screenshot (I ended up
upside down in the grass) and less the general inaccuracies (like
Bridge corner at Silver going in the wrong direction).

Trucks are not our thing... road taxes based on displacement and high gas
prices make sure the "SUV" has very little market potential here.

As for Monster Trucks... it's a bit WWF, you gotta admit.

Yeah-it will happen easily at Indy for example if you do that...

One of ISI's biggest problems has always been the track modelling.  The
stepped elevations always felt pretty silly.  Even 3rd party addon tracks
for F1 2002 suffered.  It seems simbin have solved the problem in GTR
thankfully.

LOL! Put some big fat bike tires on that thing and you're bound to pick
up a couple seconds per lap.
