Short of real cars of course. :-)

Well, I'm also interested in which would be the second best, but
anyway, they have to have excellent pedals, too!
Are the any pedals that feel close to a real car pedal, especially for
the brake?

Thanks,   Blaze

I don't think anyone has made the perfect product yet.  Of the wheels i've
owned the Logitech is definitely the best, but has dodgy pedals, although
you get used to them.  The Guillemot is a bit cheap in areas, and also has
poor pedals.  The Microsoft FF (USB version) had a big slow-down with GPL
and Sports Car GT and notchy and noisy FF, so it went back to the shop.  And
the Thrustmaster was just awful, so that went back to the shop as well.
Wouldn't like to comment on the wheels I haven't tried though...

I would agree with your review of FF wheels Simon, I have a MSFF and its
forces are great in N3 but it lasted 8 months before all the LEFt side
buttons quit working and the padding started to come off. I got a LWFF
and its quality was top rate (Especially the wheel shape and padding)
and yes the pedals are chessy (you can add the CH pedals for 50.00). I
got my LWFF from computergeeks.com for 61.00 (refurbed but new).

Guys, thanks for the replies. Seems there isn't much choice, and no
'realistic' pedals in sight either. I do have the CH Pro Pedals but
the spring action is waaaay too light for me.
I was hoping for something like the Thomas wheels, just with FFB.

Thanks again,   Blaze

Put a squashball under each pedal, fasten them with double sided tape,
et voila :)

Hehe, if the brake pedal in my real car would feel like I'm squeezing
a squash ball, I'd be most concerned! :-)

Hi Blaze,

I bought the LWFF wheel and like it a lot. The pedals, as others have
mentioned, leave something to be desired. Looking for a realistic brake
pedal action, I bought the pedals from Redline.

http://www.wave.co.nz/pages/lakewood/Redline2.htm

They're not cheap, but I can hook them up w/o rewiring anything. Nigel
Nichols does superb work. His brake pedal has a secondary spring that kicks
in after partial pedal travel and the feeling is very realistic.I've been
thoroughly satisfied and Nigel will go out of his way for customer
satisfaction.

Now, if I could just go faster!

Well I already have "stiffed them up" with some plastic foam.
I'm afraid if I put harder stuff in, the hinge mechanism won't
last for long.
What's the consistency of a squash ball anyway? Sort of like
a tennis ball?

Consider a Ball Bearing conversion for the LWFF. People tell that the
quality-feeling then is like the TSW, only FF included.

Cannot judge myself, since I haven't tried the TSW yet.
