I think that F1GP deserves a newsgroup. That is a great idea...

>Don't yorl think F1GP needs a group all of it's own

So:

rec.autos.simulators.f1gp

Then we really need:

rec.autos.simulators.papyrus

Or:

rec.autos.simulators
rec.autos.simulators.f1gp
rec.autos.simulators.icr
rec.autos.simulators.nascar
rec.autos.simulators.nfc
...

That's a lot of groups! It's quiet enough around here isn't it?

Seconded!

Why isn't Formula 1 popular in the u.s.? i love to watch hill tear up the
track! Watching 3500 lb road sloths is boring!! I'd rather see a
williams-renault *** through the turns at Monaco.

Oh dear, batten down hatches, rednecks approaching from the port bow.
Prepare for NASCAR onslaught..... :)

I think Monace is bad example. The most boring race of the '96 till now is, in
my opinion, the monaco gp. I can't remeber seeing one single overtake.

One reason is that there is a lot more side by side racing.  I watch F1 also
(I'll watch about any form of autoracing!) but find that F1 can can get very
boring when no driver sees another can for an hour!  I watched only about six
F1 cars finish a race earlier this year!  NASCAR has 40+ cars in a race and
30+ usually finish.  When you sqeeze that many cars on tracks as small as a
1/2 mile it makes for exciting racing!
