F1 CS 2K - 2001 carset?

by SlowG » Mon, 05 Mar 2001 06:45:53

    Hi guys,
Anyone know where I can get a complete (or near complete), carset
for F1CS2K?  I have a 2001 set fo GP3, but Gp3 decided it hates DX8, so
it looks like I'm S.O.L. on that front. :-(

They now have the complete set of cars for 2001. I really like the job these
two guys do.

No problem, also check out John Bodin's chassis patch. I use the advance
files and they make the cars feel a lot better then stock more like you
would imagine an F1 car to drive like. You can find John's patch at
www.bhmotorsports.com

Seen this a couple of times on RAS and haven't figured it out yet - what's
"S.O.L."?

Cheers
Jim

Hi

In what ways does the chasis patch make the cars
feel better ?

I could not notice much difference nor anything wrong
with the unchanged version ?

Hopefully John will post here as he can explain it better then I can.

It makes the cars more sensitive as well as making them harder to control on
the edge. You can now catch a spin and get it straight without doing a 180
or 360. The brake bias is fixed so you don't have to run them more towards
the rear. The cars are also more twitchy and have a lot more feel to them.

With the chassis patch you will no longer be able to come out of a second
gear corner and nail it, if you do you will be facing the wrong direction
before you no it. Throttle control is a must now...
